CHOCOLATE PIES - Hazel Wilson

Melt 2 Tbsp. Butter and add 1 Cup Sugar, mix well.

Add:
1/2 Cup Flour
1/2 Cup Cocoa
4 Egg Yolks (keep whites for meringue)
2 Cups Evaporated Milk
2 Cups Water
1 tsp. Vanilla

Cook until it gets thick. Take off heat and add vanilla.

Meringue:
4 egg Whites
1 Tbsp. Sugar for each Egg White

To prepare the meringue, beat the egg whites until the mixture holds still peaks. Gradually add sugar, 1 Tbsp at a time, beating until very stiff and glossy. Brown meringue in 325 degree oven for 10 minutes or until meringue is browned.
