CRUSTY BEEF CASSEROLE

1 lb. Ground Chuck
1
/4 C. chopped onion
Garlic salt to taste
2 T
. chili powder
1- 16 oz. Can pinto beans (do not drain)

2-8 oz. cans tomato sauce

1 C. shredded cheddar cheese

- 6 oz. Martha White corn
bread mix with jalapeno peppers

 

Brown ground chuck and onion. Add garlic salt. Stir in tomato sauce, chili powder (according to your taste). Put this mixture in a 9 x 13" baking dish, sprayed with PAM. Layer 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, pinto beans and com bread mix. (Mix corn bread mix according to directions, omitting eggs. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes.

Note: If you don't like com bread hot, use regular corn bread mix.
